Co-Founder of Sports Gear Metry
My name is David Keller, and my story is no different than that of the average adult. Throughout my college years, I was a party student, not giving a damn in the world. Throughout my early 20s, I now realize the time and effort I wasted on trivial matters. Well, it later did catch up to me.
However, let me tell you that I don’t regret anything in life. What has happened before led me to where I am in life right now. You do learn through the numerous experiences and situations you are put through, and I believe that is what pushed me to grow.
Around the age of 24, I developed what people call a “beer belly”. Let’s say it was not pretty. Honestly, I did not realize what was happening to me for the longest time until I went back home during the holidays and saw my family. They’re the ones who slapped me awake.
It slowly turned around for me. I made it turn around for me, remember that. No one else will ever push you through and force you to change. It really does come from within.
From a party animal to consistently training, it was life-changing. It started off with cardio, and then a friend of mine introduced me to strength training and CrossFit. It all went crazy from there, but the suitable type of crazy.
Now, after numerous certificates, I specialize in strength training and CrossFit. They’re all I do, and I have fallen in love with working out. It’s been 20 years since I’ve consistently trained and slowly earned my way to becoming a CrossFit trainer. I cannot even describe how satisfying it is to give back to people and help them on their journey.
As the co-founder of Sports Gear Metry, my job is to help test and evaluate different sports equipment. Elena and I make an excellent team. Due to our shared passion for sports and fitness, we combine our forces to provide you with the most honest and detailed reviews.
I’ve earned several certificates, including a bunch from ISSA, including the Certified Personal Trainer and the Nutritionist Certification. This combo helped me reach this point in life, where I feel like I’m at the prime of my life even though I’m almost in my 40s.
David Keller is the one who gathers numerous pieces of equipment as an essential initial list. He compiles a list of products, the best, and starts evaluating them according to reviews and videos online. That’s how he sifts through the equipment that the team reviews later. He’s chosen for such a task because he has the most experience in gyms, clients, and home gyms.
Afterwards, he works closely with Elena on evaluating and testing every single product, one at a time. Their process is quite extensive and time-consuming, but they’ve found a way to love every single moment of it. Together, they make an energetic team that’s always up for the challenge. Moreover, they love testing different theories, fad diets, and equipment together. That’s where all the transparency comes from.
Feel free to contact them for any questions or inquiries.
